Officers Respond to Call of Grenade

NEWS FROM PD

Earlier this afternoon, officers from the Little Elm Police Department responded to a call of a hand grenade on a park bench near the 7-11 convenience store located at 26730 E. U.S Hwy 380 and S. Paloma Creek Boulevard.

After securing the scene, officers requested assistance from the City of Denton’s Explosive Team. A technician from the team determined the device was not a live grenade; it was a military-style training device commonly found at Army-Navy supply stores.

There was no threat to safety of the public at any time.
