LEPD Honors Officers at Annual Banquet

banquet

The Little Elm Police Department held its annual Officer Awards Banquet on Friday, January 31, 2020. The banquet is an important event for the Department and is a night filled with recognition of team members for their contributions to the Department and the stakeholders of Little Elm.

The Department would like to thank the members of the Town Council that attended, Curtis Cornelious and his wife, Charlet; Nick Musteen and his wife, Angela; Tony Singh and his wife Crystal; Lisa Norman and her husband, Chip; and, Mayor David Hillock and his wife, Amy.

The Town’s Public Safety Director, Joseph Florentino, and its Town Manager, Matt Mueller, were also in attendance. The Department’s Chaplain, Josh Youngblood, was also present. Ken Eaken, alumni of the LEPD Citizens Police Academy and member of the Citizens on Patrol, donated his talents as the announcer for the ceremony.

The newly-formed LEPD Auxiliary took a few minutes to introduce themselves and their mission. Their Board of Directors, Candi Ward, Ashly Dye, Patty Rossmann, Katherine Gonzalez, Tammla Lowrey, Dorothy Loney, and Madeline Ginn are the force behind the project to encourage memberships and form a support system for their family members that wear the badge in our community. The Banquet Committee solicited donations from local and surrounding businesses to use as door prizes for the event. Each member of LEPD goes home with something sponsored by a business.
