The Little Elm Town Council voted at their regular meeting on Tuesday, October 15, to adopt a new Redistricting Plan and revise Town Council Member Electoral District Boundaries.
The Redistricting Plan, which was under consideration by the Council for several weeks, was necessary to adjust the number of residents represented by each council member.
"The Town has grown over the last few years in some areas, which has meant significant increases in population. This was an effort to balance the representation of residents in each district to a more even number," said Town Manager Matt Mueller.
The changes to the electoral districts will not impact 2020 council elections, which are for at-large positions.
