On Saturday, June 29, the Little Elm Police Department and the Little Elm Fire Department squared off in an epic battle - the Battle of the Badges blood drive.
The event, held at the Little Elm Recreation Center by the departments in conjunction with the American Red Cross, is an annual event all in good fun to collect blood donations and boost awareness of the need for blood.
This year's event was a success, with 72 units of blood collected. Thirty-eight new donors were also registered!
The LEPD had 49 tokens, and the LEFD had 27 tokens, making the LEPD the winner for the second year in a row!
