Keep it brief. Just the facts of who, what, when, and where should apply for your proposed message.
Keep it clean. Messages that feature profanity, derogatory, or offensive speech will not be approved.
Make it general. For your message to be on the marquee, your event must appeal to the general population of the community and must be open to the community as a whole. Messages that contain personal announcements, target a specific group, or contain information such as names, phone numbers, or email addresses will not be approved.
Political or campaign information, commercial information, and religious programming are also prohibited.
Add an image. You can send in a graphic image if you have one that you'd like to include; otherwise, standard Town background images will be selected.
Time it right. You should turn in your marquee message at least two weeks before you want it to start running. This gives the Town time to approve your message and put it together. Marquee messages generally start running one week before your event will take place.
