My cart has a red tag; what does this mean?

The reason for non-service should be printed on the red tag. The top five causes of red tags are:

  • The cart placed too close to fixed objects. Due to the automated arms on the truck, place your bins three feet away from any object.
  • The lid is not completely closed. Lids must be completely closed to be serviced.
  • Out of reach. Carts must be placed at the curb or at the alley's edge. Lids need to open facing the truck.
  • Hazardous waste. Town of Little Elm residents may drop hazardous materials that can be disposed of at the Town Courtesy Drop-Site at 1690 E. Eldorado Parkway, Little Elm, TX 75068, during our Clean and Green Events in the fall and spring.
  • Bulk pick up. The item left out was too large for the cart. Large bulky items must be placed at the curb on your designated bulk trash pickup. View the Bulk Trash Pick-Up Calendar.
