
Overview
The Little Elm Veterans Committee serves as a liaison between the Town Council and the veterans of the community on the issues affecting veterans. The mission of the Little Elm Veterans Committee is to bring the Town’s veterans together through activities, committees, and comradery; champion veterans’ accomplishments through awareness; and bring veterans together in a community-driven environment.

Agendas are posted at least 72 hours prior to the meeting, as required by state law. Minutes are posted after they have been formally approved by the committee.
Qualifications
The Veterans Committee shall consist of seven members appointed by the Town Council, at least five (5) of whom shall be military veterans.
Appointment Process
Applications will open June 2023.
Once an application is received, it will be reviewed by the Interview Committee. If selected, applicants will have an interview with the committee to be considered for appointment by The Mayor and Town Council.
The term of each member shall be for three years, except that the original members shall be appointed for staggered terms, three for two years, and four for three years.
