The Little Elm Fire Department is currently recruiting for open positions at this time. Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Can compete in the process if currently attending and in good standing in a fire academy or EMT-Basic school
  • Must be certified in one of these categories before hire date:
    - TCFP Firefighter and Texas State EMT-Basic (required to take Paramedic and have 18 months to pass)
    - Texas State EMT-Paramedic (required to take TCFP Firefighter and have 18 months to pass)
    - TCFP Firefighter and Texas State EMT-Paramedic

Process

  • Apply June 23-July 24, 2023
  • Written Exam and Row Test on July 29 (wear PT clothes)
  • Physical Agility on August 5 (wear PT clothes)
  • Panel Interview TBA
  • Background Checks TBA
  • Conditional Offer and Chief's Interview TBA
  • Psychological Test TBA
  • Physical and Drug screening TBA
