Deferred Disposition

Deferred Disposition is an order from the Court that allows you to keep a moving violation off of your driving record. You will be placed on a probationary period up to 180 days. If you comply with the terms of your probation, the citation will be dismissed and nothing will be reported to the Department of Public Safety.

Price: Cost of the citation plus $25 special expense fee

Eligibility Requirements

The following requirements must be met in order to be eligible for Deferred Disposition:
  • Enter a plea of guilty or no contest
  • You cannot currently be on probation for another citation in the Town of Little Elm
  • You cannot be charged with any of the following offense:
  • Speeding 25 miles or more over the speed limit
  • Committing a moving violation within a posted construction zone with workers present
  • You are not eligible if you held a Commercial Driver's License at the time of the offense
  • Proof of valid insurance listing the defendant as a driver (for No Insurance violations only)
