Since 1994, the Town of Little Elm has collected water, wastewater, and roadway impacts fees to help cover the costs of infrastructure necessary to serve new development. These fees were most recently amended in October 2017, and are assessed when a subdivision plat is filed for a new development. The fee structure varies depending upon the intensity of the development, and must be paid prior to receiving a building permit.
