One-on-One Benefits Counseling

30 minute appointments starting 9:00 am - noon
Do you have questions about your Medicare benefits?  Do you need to review your prescription drug coverage options for next year?  A benefits Counselor will be available to help answer some questions regarding your Medicare benefits.  This service is available at no charge.  RSVP at the front desk.

Veterans Brunch and Bingo

Saturday, November 10
Brunch 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Bingo 10:30 am - 1:00 pm
Everyone is invited to join us for a brunch to honor the men and women who have served our country.  Please come by and say Thank you!  Feel free to stick around and play some Bingo after the Brunch.  Cards will be sold for $1 each from 10:30 am - 11:00 am.  The game will begin at 11:00 am and no cards will be sold after the game begins.  We will be playing for prizes, as all money collected for card sales will go to Wreaths Across America, a Veteran's Charity!  RSVP for the Brunch at the front desk.

National Sundae Day
November 11
Each month we will be choosing one of the crazy National Days to celebrate.  For November we have chosen National Sundae Day.  Come to the Birthday Social on November 12 at 1:00 pm, and enjoy some extra yummy toppings for your ice cream.

Art Workshop: Different Art Mediums to Create Practical Art

This program is designed to introduce you to different art techniques and mediums. It also strives to help you express yourself and keep your creative juices flowing.

Chair Dance Class
Friday, November 14, 11:30 am
The chair dance class starts by stretching your body out and then the instructor, Donna, will start an in-chair dance routine.  She will slowly add on moves once everyone has got it down.  This class is an awesome workout for the body and mind because it challenges you to remember the dance routine.

AARP Smart Driver Class
Friday, November 16, 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Registration begins at 12:15 pm
This course is one 4-hour class and is designed for individuals 50 & over.  Not for ticket dismissal.  It is not necessary to be a member of AARP to participate and there are no exams.  $15 AARP members; $20 non-members, paid day of class to instructor.  RSVP at the front desk.

Community Thanksgiving Luncheon
Sunday, November 18, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Bring your family and enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with us.  Lunch will include turkey, dressing, and all the trimmings.  Desserts welcome.  If you know a senior citizen that is unable to attend we will deliver a dinner plate to them.  For more information contact Doug Cravey at (972) 741-7395.  For plate deliveries contact Bill Roebken at (214) 213-5851.

ChemoCare Bags

Cookie Exchange and Luncheon

Ready, set, bake!  A cookie exchange is where you bake several dozen of your special holiday cookies to share.  You give everyone in attendance a couple of your cookies and you will get a couple of cookies from everyone there.  Please sign up and bring in your recipe to the front desk by November 28, so we can put together a recipe book of all the cookies being exchanged.  Number of cookies to be bakes and how many to a package will be determined by the number of people who sign up.  We will have a light lunch to celebrate the fun.
