National Red Mitten Day

Each month we will be choosing one of the crazy National Days to celebrate. For November we have chosen National Red Mitten Day. Starting November 1, please bring in mittens, socks and lap blankets to share with the seniors at Mustang Creek Estates. Let's make the season a little warmer for some seniors.

Cookie Exchange and Luncheon


Tuesday, December 10, 11:30 a.m.
Ready, set, bake! A cookie exchange is where you bake several dozen of your special holiday cookies to share. You give everyone in attendance a couple of your cookies and you will get a couple of cookies form everyone there. Please sign up and bring in your recipe to the front desk by November 26 so we can put together a receipt book of all the cookies being exchanged. Number of cookies to be baked and how many to a package will be determined by the number of people who sign up. We will have a light lunch to celebrate the fun.

Basic Line Dancing


Thursdays, January 9, 16, 23, and 30, 9 a.m. - 10 a.m.
We are starting the new year with an extra chance to learn line dancing. Leah is holding a special session in January to get the very basics down. Sign up at the front desk.

Matter of Balance Workshop: 8-Week Program


Mondays, January 27 - March 30, 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Presented by Texas Area on Aging

Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. This award winning program is designed to manager falls and increase activity levels. Note that the class size is limited and you will only get full benefit from the class if you are willing to commit to the full 8-week program. Class dates: January 27, February 3, 17, 24, March 2, 16, 23 and 30. Sign up at the front desk.
