Responsibilities
The responsibility of the Finance Department is to efficiently manage and account for the town’s financial and human resources through the utilization of information technology for provision of financial reporting services, operational and capital budgeting support, and other complex administrative assistance.

Services
The Finance Department provides support to town departments and citizens through oversight of Municipal Court, Teen Court, Utility Office, purchasing, accounting, financial reporting, debt administration, treasury, budget, information technology, and the department serves as treasurer to the Economic Development Corporation, Community Development Corporation and Little Elm Redevelopment Authority.

Chief Financial Officer
Alan Dickerson, Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for accounting, budget, investments, and treasury reports. He oversees finance, utility billing, Municipal Court, and information technology.

Awards
The Town of Little Elm has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association for the first time. The award is given to local governments that go beyond the minimum requirements of generally accepted accounting principles to prepare comprehensive annual financial reports that evidence the spirit of transparency and full disclosure.
