The Little Elm Police Department is dispatched by the Denton County Sheriff’s Department Communication Divison. When Little Elm citizens need police services, where an officer is required to respond to your location, the main non-emergency number to call is (972) 434-5500. For all emergency calls simply dial
9-1-1.
 
For all other non-emergency matters, where an officer is not needed to respond to the scene, citizens may call the Police Department Administrative Offices directly at (214) 975-0460 during normal business hours. These hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday thru Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. to noon on Fridays. The offices are closed on Friday afternoon, nights, weekends and on legal holidays. Citizens calling the main number after hours will reach a pre-recorded assistance directory message.

The police department, in an effort to better serve its residents, is researching the steps necessary to incorporate a stand-alone dispatch system for the Little Elm Police and Fire Departments. This will allow citizens to call one number at one location, 24/7, effectively saving valuable time while providing convenient services to all citizens.
